Lama Temple and other thrones

Entrance to the Temple
One of the many statues/idols people burned incense to.
The air reeked of incense, which I didn't mind.
It was just so sad seeing the practice of
incense burning to so many false idols.

I got to see the largest statue of Maitreya, an idol,
carved from a single sandalwood tree.
It was pretty amazing and saddening at the same time.
Another shot of the gigantic statue.
Beads and incense were at every corner.
I would not challenge this dragon-dog to a
one on one game of B-ball. Bad idea.
I did not kneel down at the temple...I saved
my kneeling down to clean our bathroom.
It was naaaaastay.
Left bottom is as "finished" as I could get it.
I'll just say that there were a lot of quick-fixes
done with all of the hardware, walls, door, pretty much
EVERYTHING, by whoever took care of this place before I got here.
See the wall? Tape. Tape holds my bathroom tiles together.
Who woulda thought, tape? A quick-fixer, that's who...(sigh)
Yes, Carol, you live in China.
Leaning hard on HIM.
